Summer Special - Club ride to Khekra Nala

After Gaddha mania at Lonar crater lake, we could not make it for any club ride. One more major reason was Nagpur Summer. Average temperature was 44-46 degree.

But still all club members decided for atleast one ride in hot weather just like “Rann of Kutch”. J

We gathers at Poonam chambers at around 10am. But we started at around 11.30 as Naga wanted to join us. He came from Hyderabad to customized his bike. Wow, he modified his machine nicely. Off course, Girish from our club helped him for this.

As shown in the map, we 7 bikers rode to Khekranala, a famous dam and huge water reservoir.

Since it was so hot, whenever we took a pause, we drank lot of water. I think per head we consumed 5-6 liters of water within this ride. :p

We reached at khekranala resort which is just located next to dam. Since we had very light breakfast in morning, we had heavy snacks at this resort. 

Everyone took out their cameras and started taking snaps. Birds, landscapes, trees, dam, so many subjects for the photography. :p After having snacks, we proceeded towards dam where we relaxed ourselves.

I folded my pants and got into the water, (not in depth which is not at all recommended).

Piyush wagh, one of the new club member, joined us. Wohoo, when he took out his camera, we were stunned. It was Nikon D4, very powerful and expensive.

We were very tiered, due to excessive water consumption, we were not hungry. He had some soft drinks and then we started out return journey.

We return way, we were pleased with the scenery. Dry leaves, rocky roads, trees with some green leaves, much more..

I was not lucky though, and we had seen our first breakdown. My bike’s rear tire was punctured. Ohh No !!

I need to go till khapa with Indrajeet to bring new tyre tube. Due to which we are delayed little bit. We rode back to Nagpur in late evening.
