Family outing @ new spot

I think I am good in managing outing on every weekend now and enjoying every moment of current rainy season. :p Really, this may be the frustration of Nagpury summer we faced in last couple of months.
This Sunday rains already showed their presence from the morning. The atmosphere was ideal for outing. So in the evening everyone in my family agreed to go for outing. My friend Harshal suggested me one place where I never visited before, since I have been to the nearest place many times.

The spot was just 2 kms away from Zilpi Lake. (*To reach Zilpi lake you can refer my previous posts from this blog)

This spot do not have any specific name and even it was not known to many people. We all were excited to see this unknown spot.

After few confirmation from local people, we could able to reach this spot but you can refer map mentioned in this blog. We found a road without tar at the left side of the road as shown in map.

The real fun starts when we entered through this road to reach this spot. Surrounded by dense forest, lush green carpet of grass and small waterfall was the main attraction of this spot.

Wow ! we truly enjoyed different flavours of nature on this spot. My real happiness was in exploring new beautiful place. I had a great time with family & nature.

So do visit this place and enjoy the beauty of nature. Cheers !!

Riders at new destination .. Ambora..

On a cloudy weekend, I had a great ride to Ambora on my new Royal Enfield.

Two enthusiastic people, Milind & Neeraj accompanied me in this adventurous ride.
We had selected Ambora (from Umred district) as the destination point for this ride. With proper planning, in rider attire, we started our journey in morning at around 9.30 AM.
Neeraj joined me at Chatrapati square (Wardha road) and Milind at Maheshwari Square. The route was quite simple. First milestone were Pachgaon and then Kuhi. From Kuhi, Ambora was around 35kms. Total distance from Nagpur to Ambora was 75 Kms.

Everyone was in rider’s attire but especially Milind was having proper outfits with him for this ride. As you can see in the photo, he was in suit purchased specially from New Zealand.

Since the atmosphere was cloudy, we enjoyed the ride. We had taken few photographs as Neeraj was carrying big SLR camera with him. Around 12:00, we reached Ambora safely without any causality. :p

The view was mind-blowing. Great combination of mountains & river.. Wow, Maja aagaya .. this was the spontaneous reaction when we reached our destination point.
Ambora is the place where two rivers meet each other, basically called as “Sangam”. It is also famous for renowned Shiva temple located at top of the hill.

We crossed the river by boat. The environment and the view were so cool that we could not resist ourselves in clicking few moments around.
After taking light snacks we started back to Nagpur. In return journey, it was raining heavily. We drove around 40kms in rain. It was truly a thrilling experience for us.

Few Kms before Nagpur, we took last break of our ride and had a sip of tea on tapry.

Nagpur > Adasa > Jamsavli > Pandurna > Nagpur

Every Nagpurian was keenly waiting for rainy season. Now after few showers my adventure instinct is switched ON. Last weekend, on cloudy day, I enjoyed my first outing with friends & family. :-)

Me, my father & colleagues Amit Yerne & Avinash Patil started journey to Pandhurna, a district place in Madhya Pradesh. My dad decided to go through some holy places like Adasa & Jamsavli before reaching to Pandhurna. I was excited for my first seasonal trip for this year. :-) My friend Avinash was equally excited to take many snaps with recently purchased SLR camera.

We reached Adasa and take darshan (worship) of Lord Ganesha. Ganesha from Adasa is identified as one of Ashtavinayaka of Vidharbha region. The temple is located on hill and has good surrounding and landscapes.

We move on to Jamsavli. Jamsavli is famous for Lord Hanuman temple. It is situated in Madhya Pradesh border area. After worship, we move on to the place near to Jamsavli where we enjoyed view of beautiful waterfall.

Shortly we reached to Pandhura. After taking heavy lunch we returned to Nagpur though same route.

1500 meters - 30 Lengths - 50 minutes

I love swimming and I am doing it from last 20 years. In every summer, me and my dad use to go Ambazari Lake for swimming. Swimming is considered as the best exercise and also it will keep you cool in Nagpury summer.

But from last 3-4 years, I preferred to swim in NIT swimming pool instead of Ambazari. Why swimming pool ? because in that I can dive, learn new strokes, swim and make new friends. These days I am making new students. :p

If you are achieving any extreme level in sports then it can be considered as adventure. Yes, for me it is an extreme swimming just like swimming in English Channel. :p On last weekend, I levelled with my previous record i.e. swimming continuously 30 lengths i.e. 30x50= 1500 meters in just 50 minutes. But this is not the limit; my aim is 50 Lengths in one shot. This season I will create history.

Let’s wait and Watch !! ;-)

One more long drive experience..

Now it’s being long time that I was looking for a chance for long drive. When my mom asked me that how we will be going to Latur for my cousin marriage, i quickly replied.. By CAR!! :-) It was again a tough job to convince mom for such drive. But finally she agreed and we started preparation for the same.

As usual approach, I gathered all information about the route. Google map always helps us. Yeah..it always tell us which will be the shortest route but it does not highlight quality of road :-( that need to be confirmed by one who already been there.

Anyways.. We started in morning about 7am. Advantage of driving in morning is that, weather is cool and less traffic. It is the most ideal time for driving. Very quickly, we reached to our first milestone i.e. Kalamb. It is in Yawatmal district and famous for very old and renowned Ganesh temple.

This temple, known as Shree Kshetra Kalamb of Lord Chintamani Ganesh, is one of the 21 Ganesh kshetras. A four headed Ganesh idol is located in the visible area of the temple. Four Ganesh idols have been carved in a single stone albeit on all the four sides. There is a square kund after descending the chairs. The main Chintamani idol is located in the sanctum. Two Shankar pindi are located on both sides of this temple.

Now we proceed towards our next destination i.e. Mahur. Mahur is famous for Lord Renuka devi. You can find some details about this place from following links.

We had lunch in Mahur after the worship of Renuka devi. Vai Umerkhed we reached to Nanded. We had short break at relatives house located in heart of the city Nanded. Around 7pm, we reached to Latur, our destination. It took around 12 hrs to travel 525kms.

On the next day, after attending marriage, we proceed to Akola. But in between we visited 3 towns which were our planned milestones that were Ambejogai, Parali Vaijanath & Avanda Nagnath. Please find more details about these towns and specialities which are carried by them. Ambejogai has famous temple of Lord Yogeshwari devi.

I am missing Adventure :(

I was ready with the fact that I might not get time for any true adventure. No treks, biking, long drive on car. Life is so busy these days, the reason could be anything. I may blame to the atmosphere currently in Nagpur. It’s really HOT. So it is enough to kill your passion and enthu.

Anyways, let’s see how this heat keeps me away from my adventure.

Will come up some new adventure.. ;-)
