Independence Day Ride - Jamsavli

On Independence Day, 15 August, as per Club legacy, we decided for Independence Day Ride. Anu called up all club members. We were 6 people rode to Jamsavli, famous place near Nagpur. We decided to gather at Tank square, Ajni. After having breakfast at Haldiram, we had lot of discussion on place but finally we decided to go Jamsavli, 80 kms from Nagpur in Madhya Pradesh.

For more details on Jamsavli, please check my previous post.

We fuelled our bikes at Koradi road and continued our journey to Jamsavli. Since it was a holiday, road was packed with vehicles. Enthusiast travelling on road with flags tagged on cars and bikes. We also tagged flag on our bikes.

After Saoner, we saw accident between two bikes. One person was dead on the spot and other was injured. It was head-on collision of two bikes. It was quite depressing moment. But we continued our journey and reached Jamsavli temple. Since it was holiday, Hanuman temple was packed with Bhaktagan.

From temple, around 2 kms, there was beautiful spot with huge waterfall. Other club members were visiting this place for the first time so they were enjoying the beauty of the spot. We took lot of photos at this place. Since we were hungry, people had Aaluwada & namkins, where I had some Sabudana wada as I was having Fast (Shrawan Somwar) on that day. First time I had ride on fast day. :p

We decided to go back from other route and not with the same route. So I suggested different route to club mates as shown in map. Anu and others liked that route very much. We took a pause and did some photo shoot. It was twisty and short route. This time again, causality, Anukaran bike’s silencer fall down. :(
Then on highway we put on full throttle and reached Nagpur quickly.

Club ride to Kanholibara

On Sunday, as decided by Anukaran, club member rode to Kanholibara. I was also informed for this ride but I was busy in 24 hrs programming contest held in company. I came back home after spending 26 hrs in office, it was wonderful experience. But now I wanted to join ride, so I had thought on that and I called Anu. I told him that I will be joining them after few hours. I had power nap of 2 hrs and I started my ride in noon 1pm.

I had already seen the destination in google map. It was a simple route though.

I started with full enthusiasm. I purchased some snacks for club members. Road was too good till Hingna but after that road was pathetic till Kanholibara. I was at the border of Kanholibara, I asked few children and they showed me the way to Kanholibara dam. It was raw road and Anu told me that there would such raw road. I almost rode 5 kms but could not see any dam, so I asked some local people. They told me that I am on wrong path. So I rode back to Kanholibara village. There was road from village which directly connects to dam. It was short lane which I could not see in the beginning.

I met all club mates at dam. I shared snacks with them which I brought it from city. They were very hungry and waiting for me desperately. Same time I got a call from Harsh Karkar that my team won the 24 hours programming content. I was very happy, club mates congratulate me. :)

We decided to go for off-roading. Wow.. it was fantastic experience. It was ideal place for Off-roading and Mud-biking. We rode from water, stones, bushes, wohooo.. one time, half portion of my bike was in water .. Truly thrilling .. Harsh and Ashish’s bike was skidding .. Inder was enjoying off-roading with his power bike.. after taking lot of photos and videos we came back to kanholibara village.

We were waiting for Anu, suddenly we heard sound .. when we confirmed .. it was Anu, who fall down from his bike because of side stand suddenly came out and made him unbalanced. He was hurt and his bike was little damaged.

We started from village and almost 10 kms from village when inder received phone call from Neeraj. Neeraj’s bike was failed to start. Inder and Ashish went back to village and get it fixed. By the evening, we came back to Nagpur.

Breakfast ride to Wadgao

It was Thursday morning, I mailed around 40-50 people in company for “Breakfast ride”. Few replied they can’t join me and availability of few guys was uncertain. On Saturday morning, we started our ride to Wadgaon dam. We were four riders with coincidently having bullets (royal enfield).

It was a beautiful day, showers already shown their presence in morning so the atmosphere was pleasant. We gathered at Khamla square, Nagpur. By Jamtha cricket stadium rain started heavily but we didn’t stop and continued our ride. It was wonderful experience to ride in thick showers.

We took small halt at Borkhedi. Had a sip of tea and proceeded to our destination. Since the road condition as good, we reached destination in an hour.
Wadgaon, 40kms from Nagpur on Chandrapur road. For more details please check my previous post on this blog.

After capturing few moments, we rode to Wadgao dam where we chill out for a while.
